Bing Ads Library Scraper

Microsoft publishes the ads it serves in the European Union through an official Ad Library. This scraper turns that library into a clean dataset of your competitors' Bing ads, and tells you when new ones appear.

What it does

The tool reads Microsoft's official, public Ad Library API, the same source behind the Ad Library website. Search by advertiser or by words in the ad text, and for each ad you get:

  • The ad copy: title, description, display URL and the full destination URL, including the tracking parameters that often reveal campaign names.
  • The advertiser and, when someone else paid for the ad, such as an agency, the payer.
  • Run dates: the first and last impression recorded in the EU/EEA, and how many days the ad has been running.
  • Reach: the impression range, plus each EU/EEA country's share of impressions and the top country.
  • Targeting: which kinds of targeting were used (location, age, gender, Microsoft audiences or the advertiser's own audiences) and which were used to exclude people.

Brands often have several Microsoft Advertising accounts. Enter the brand name and the tool resolves the accounts for you, so you don't have to hunt for IDs.

For monitoring, switch on only new ads. The tool remembers what it has already seen, so a daily run returns just the ads that are new since yesterday, plus a free summary row per advertiser or search term with totals, new ads, top advertisers and top countries.

Who uses it

  • PPC teams in Europe who want to see the headlines, offers and landing pages competitors run on Bing, and for how long.
  • Agencies covering several advertisers in one run, using the payer field to see which agency manages an account.
  • Marketers searching ad text by theme, such as “car insurance” or “crm software”, to see who advertises on it.
  • Compliance and brand protection teams checking for ads that use their brand name.

How it works

  1. Enter advertiser names or IDs, or words to search for in ad text, and pick the EU/EEA countries and date range.
  2. Run it once to see everything on record, or schedule it daily with “only new ads” turned on.
  3. Get the results by email, in Slack or Google Sheets, through a webhook, or as JSON, CSV or Excel.

Pricing

Pay per use on Apify. No subscription from us.

  • $0.002 per run
  • $1.50 per 1,000 ads (details included)

Summary and error rows are free, and there are no proxy or compute costs on top. Checking 10 competitors daily with about five new ads each costs roughly $0.08 a day. You can cap the ads per target or the cost per run; ads held back by a cap are not marked as seen, so they come through on the next run.

Limits

  • EU/EEA only. Microsoft publishes the library under the EU Digital Services Act, so it holds ads that got impressions in the EU or EEA, from advertisers anywhere. Ads shown only in the US or UK are not in it.
  • About 1,000 results per query. For advertisers with more ads, split the search by country or date range.
  • Data arrives with a delay of 1 to 3 days, because that is how quickly Microsoft adds ads to the library.
  • No spend or click data. Microsoft publishes impression ranges and country shares only.

FAQ

What is the Microsoft Ad Library?

It is Microsoft's public record of ads served on Bing and other Microsoft Advertising placements in the EU and EEA, published for transparency.

Do I need a Microsoft account or API key?

No. Microsoft's public Ad Library API works without signing up, and the tool handles the requests.

How do I find an advertiser ID?

Just enter the advertiser's name. The tool resolves it and shows the IDs it found, which you can reuse later if you want exact matches.

Does it show spend or clicks?

No. Microsoft publishes impression ranges and each country's share of impressions, but not spend or clicks.

Can I get alerts for new Bing ads?

Yes. Schedule it with “only new ads” and connect the dataset to email, Slack, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or n8n.
